Auctions
The Australian Eastern Market Indicator moved down 11 cents on Wednesday from last week’s close of 1,016 A cents, before drifting seven cents on Thursday. The EMI therefore lost 18 cents on the week to close at 998 A cents. Wool finer than 20 microns was most affected.
In New Zealand, the Merino Indicator was quoted at 1,357 NZ cents. The Mid Micron Indicator was quoted down 10 cents at 620 NZ cents (since it was last quoted on 17/5/07). The Fine Crossbred Indicator was down six cents at 327 NZ cents whilst the Strong Crossbred Indicator was lower by seven cents at 311 NZ cents. The Lambs Indicator was down four cents at 328 NZ cents.
Currencies
The Australian dollar was trading strongly again at about A$2.35/£ whilst the New Zealand dollar was stronger at NZ$2.65/£.

FIC voyage 10 wool is in Bradford with testing underway.
Communications with the Soil Association are on-going.
We are developing discussions with a European retailer regarding a men’s woollen jacket fabric using wool from Falklands.
FWG have completed a significant delivery to another new customer for this 2007 season. The trial shipment of wool has been successfully delivered to the Far East.
