Sergeant Dave Roberts of the Royal Falkland Islands Police updates us on the latest police activity.


 


At 0208hrs on Saturday, 09 June 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of loud music from Discovery Close.  Officers attended and the music was turned down.


 


At 0953hrs on Saturday, 09 June 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of e-mails touting that the recipient has won a Spanish Lottery.  These as well as the letters received in the Post on Monday, are fake and should be destroyed.  Sergeant Roberts advises recipients not to respond to these letters or e-mails as the authors want the banking and personal information of the recipient.


 


At 1436hrs on Saturday, 09 June 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of vandalism in the Memorial Wood.  Someone had tracked through the area and stolen some plaques.  Litter was also strewn around the wood.  The Royal Falkland Islands Police ask residents and passers-by to keep an eye on the area. If anyone has information on who is causing the damage, please give sergeant Roberts a call on 28100. 


 


At 2312hrs on Saturday, 12 June 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a disturbance outside Deano’s.  Officers attended calmed the situation and escorted people home.


 


At 1050hrs on Sunday, 10 June 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a request for medical assistance on Racecourse Road.  KEMH staff dealt with the request.


 


At 1229hrs on Monday, 11 June 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report from a member of the public that an object was floating in the harbour.  A launch was tasked and it was found to be an especially large section of Kelp with  birds landing on it.


 


At 1622hrs on Wednesday, 13 June 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a single vehicle road traffic accident in the vicinity of the quarry. No one was hurt.


 


At 2250hrs on Wednesday, 13 June 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a disturbance outside Deano’s.  Officers attended and calmed the situation.


 


At 2301hrs on Wednesday, 13 June 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a request for assistance at the East Jetty where a person had fallen over.  KEMH staff dealt with the incident.


 


At 2319hrs on Wednesday, 13 June 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a disturbance outside Deano’s. Officers attended and the situation was resolved.


 


At 0104hrs on Thursday, 14 June 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a request for medical assistance at Hillside Camp when a person fell over and injured his head.  KEMH staff dealt with the incident.


 


At 1644hrs on Thursday, 14 June 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a person driving eratically on Ross Road.  Police attended and one person is helping with enquiries.


 


At 2024hrs on Thursday, 14 June 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a request for medical assistance at Deano’s where one person had fallen off the steps.  KEMH staff dealt with the incident.


 


At 2215hrs on Thursday, 14 June 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a person falling and laying opposite the Speedwell Store.  Officers attended and an ambulance was tasked.


 


At 0030hrs on Friday, 15 June 2007 a foot patrol came across an abusive person in the vicinity of the Globe Tavern.  The person was issued with a public order warning.


 


At 1220hrs on Friday, 15 June 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a vehicle driving west along the footpath west of FICS and hitting a bollard.  PWD dealt with the repair of the bollard.


 


At 2221hrs on Friday, 15 June 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of  two boys trying to remove a tyre from the bonnet of a vehicle on Pitaluga Place.  Officers attended and found nothing.


 


At 0149hrs on Saturday, 16 June 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a request for police assistance at the East Jetty.  One person was detained.


 


At 1837hrs on Sunday, 17 June 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a minor road traffic accident on Kent Road.  Both parties are dealing with the incident through insurance.
