Opportunity to meet Development Aid Planning Mission

The Development Aid Planning Mission will visit St Helena this year to negotiate a three year framework of assistance.

Financial Secretary, Linda Clemett said that while the team is on Island, they would be happy to meet with individual members of the public, groups of people or organisations who might want to discuss matters relating to their visit. She added “This is an important visit for St Helena because following all of their discussions with government officials, civil society representatives, politicians, the private sector, and the public, the mission will agree a three year package of development assistance for the Island.”

Members of the planning mission will be available from 5.30pm to 7.30pm on Wednesday 28 February and half hour slots will be allocated on a first come first served basis Persons wishing to meet with them should make an appointment with the Financial Secretary’s Personal Assistant on telephone 2700 by no later than 22 February 2007.
