Falklands : Bye Election Announced for Philip Miller's Seat

A bye Election will be held for Philip Miller's seat on November 6th.

PRESS RELEASE

At the opening of business this morning Her Honour the Acting Governor Miss Harriet Hall signed a Proclamation notifying a by-election in the Camp Constituency for the election of one member of the Legislative Council and fixing Thursday 6 November as the Election date. The Acting Governor also signed a Writ of Election for that election. These have been delivered to the Returning Officer Mr John Rowland who, as required by law, has issued a Notice of Election for the Constituency. This provides that nomination papers can be obtained between today and 17 October 2003 from his office. The last day for delivery of completed nomination papers to him will be 17 October 2003.

At the Election there will be one member to be elected in respect of the Camp Constituency.
