Sergeant Dave Roberts of the Royal Falkland Islands Police updates us on the latest police activity.
At 1543hrs on Tuesday, 05 December 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a traffic accident at the junction of Villiers and John Streets. The incident is under investigation and one person is helping with enquiries.
At 0902hrs on Friday, 08 December 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of an RTA in the Beauchene car park. The incident is under investigation and one person is helping with enquiries.
At 1308hrs on Friday, 08 December 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of the find of a hand grenade on Wireless Ridge. EOD have been tasked to deal with the incident.
At 1539hrs on Friday, 08 December 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a suspect object on a beach north of Cape Pembroke. It was a grenade and EOD were tasked to deal with the incident.
At 0119hrs on Saturday, 09 December 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a person in the water off FIPASS. Officers attended and were assisted by the crew of HMS Dumbarton Castle. The person was recovered safely from the water. The Royal Falkland Islands Police would like to thank the crew of HMS Dumbarton Castle for their assistance in this matter.
At 1807hrs on Saturday, 09 December 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a request for a medivac at Cape Dolphin. Medical staff were tasked to deal with the incident.
At 2100hrs on Saturday, 09 December 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a theft from a bag at Deano’s Bar. The incident is currently under investigation and if anyone has information would they give Sergeant Roberts a call on 27222.
At 1909hrs on Sunday, 10 December 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a large amount of soil on the road at the top of Philomel Hill on the Bypass Road. PWD were tasked to deal with the incident.
At 2058hrs and at 2301hrs on Sunday, 10 December 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received abusive phone calls at the Police Station. The calls were traced and one person was given a warning.
At 1119hrs on Monday, 11 December 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a request for Medical assistance at the Jetty Centre. Police Officers and medical staff attended. Hospital staff dealt with the incident.
