FALKLANDS MAN FINDS REMAINS OF MISSING FRENCH YACHT

By J. Brock (FINN)

The Royal Falkland Islands Police have confirmed that the wreckage of the French yacht Mystique, has been found on First Passage Island on West Falkland last Thursday, 19 October 2006.  Wreckage was discovered by Leif Poncet of Beaver Island while he was sea-kayaking around the Falklands.  There was no indication that the sole occupant, Anton (Jejet,) survived the ordeal that caused an extensive search for him and his yacht six months ago.

More information will be forthcoming from the Royal Falkland Islands Police in due course.
