ST HELENA ACCESS – AIR SERVICE PROVIDER

SHG and DFID are pleased to have received six responses to the notice in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) seeking expressions of interest from air service providers for the provision of flights to St Helena.

The expressions of interest will now be evaluated and a short list of air service providers drawn up.  Those short-listed will be invited into negotiations in the New Year.

This is an encouraging response at this stage of the process.  It means that we are on track with our objective to reach agreement with an air service provider in time for them to feed into the relevant parts of the design of the airport and airport services.
