VIARSA1 Boarded and Escorted to South Africa

By J. Brock (SARTMA)

Acting Governor, Harriet Hall, has confirmed that Viarsa1, the suspected poacher of Patagonian Toothfish from waters off Heard Island, has been boarded and is now being escorted to Cape-town.

This puts an end to a record 21 day chase by the Australian Customs and Fisheries Protection vessel, SOUTHERN SUPPORTER.

A full story will come later.
