Ascension : Congratulations to Catherine and Paul Knowles
Submitted by The Islander (Gary Robinson) 03.08.2006 (Article Archived on 27.08.2006)

Catherine and Paul Knowles celebrated their marriage on Saturday 29th July.

The Grotto, which had had a face lift of gold and white ribbons, saw it’s first ever wedding on Saturday as Catherine Victoria Campbell and Paul Barry Knowles tied the knot.

Catherine maintained the bride’s prerogative of arriving fashionably late and looked stunning as she was led up the aisle by Eddie Fowler towards an anxious looking, but very dashing Paul. Sarah and Simon Emson, as bridesmaid and best man, supported the happy couple in their preparations.  Natalie Hewat played the role of honorary bride’s mother.  The marriage service was led by Father Peter and shared with friends on the island.

After the service it was time for a few photos at the Grotto, down to the beach for more photos and off to the Obsidian for the champagne reception.  Paul kept everyone amused with his double entendres in his speech as he declared his love for Catherine and had tears in his eyes as he proclaimed Catherine to be absolutely beautiful.

To Catherine and Paul – all your friends wish you all the very best for your future together.

Catherine and Paul send their thanks to everyone who made their wedding day so wonderful.
