Falklands : Colin Yeates Rescued in Circum-Antarctica Attempt

The notorious Falkland Current has thrown Colin Yeates ashore at Volunteer Poing on Wednesday nignt. He is safe and well.

MARITIME RESCUE

 

Mr Colin Yeates, who was attempting a single handed circumnavigate of the Antarctic in a rowing boat, came ashore on Volunteer Point late last night.  He has now been recovered to the Shanty at Volunteer Point and is safe and well.

 

The Royal Falkland Islands Police would like to thank all those who were involved in this incident for their assistance in bringing it to a successful conclusion.
