A brief run-down of recent Police activity

At 1241hrs on Friday, 16 December 2005 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a vehicle entering the Capstan Gift Shop car park the wrong way in the one-way system.  Police located the driver and issued a verbal warning.  The Royal Falkland Islands Police would like to remind motorists that the one-way system at the Capstan Gift Shop car park is enforceable by law.


 


At 2222hrs on Friday, 16 December 2005 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of damage to property on Fitzroy Road.  The matter is under Police investigation.


 


At 1130hrs on Saturday, 17 December 2005 a person handed in 7.62 ammunition rounds found at a property on John Street.


 


At 1155hrs on Saturday, 17 December 2005 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a near miss at the junction of Callaghan Road and Philomel Hill.  A vehicle failed to comply with a stop sign and the driver was given a verbal warning.


 


At 0013hrs on Sunday, 18 December 2005 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a call for assistance at a property on Brandon Road.  One person was arrested and is helping police with enquiries.


 


At 1630hrs on Sunday, 18 December 2005 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report  of a theft of property from Felton Court.  Lengths of timber were taken.  The matter is currently under Police investigation.


 


At 2120hrs on Sunday, 18 December 2005 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a disturbance on Gleadell Close.  Officers attended and escorted one person off the scene.


 


At 2151hrs on Sunday, 18 December 2005 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a disturbance outside Deanos.  Officers attended but by the time they arrived the situation had calmed down and one person had left by Taxi.


 


At 0937hrs on Monday, 19 December 2005 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a medivac via Sea King from the Football Pitch.


 


At 1358hrs on Monday, 19 December 2005 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a vehicle moving eratically down Philomel St.   The driver was located and given a verbal warning.


 


At 1436hrs on Monday, 19 December 2005 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of property being removed from an address in Brisbane Road.  The matter is under investigation.


 


At 2117hrs on Monday, 19 December 2005 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a person locked out of their house.  The Police and Fire Service attended and let the person into the property.


 


At 2118 on Monday, 19 December 2005 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of keys removed from a vehicle.  The Royal Falkland Islands Police would like to remind vehicle owners that if their vehicles are unsecured their insurance would be invalid should anything happen to the vehicle and/or contents.


 


At 0849hrs on Tuesday, 20 December 2005 the EOD Stanley Detachment destroyed a number of flares and rockets.


 


At 0916hrs on Tuesday, 20 December 2005 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a minor traffic accident in the Capstan Gift Shop car park.  There was minor damage to one vehicle and it is being dealt with by insurance.


 


At 0540hrs on Wednesday, 21 December 2005 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a road traffic accident by a person being collected from Sapper Hill.  Officers from the Royal Falkland Islands Police and the Fire and Rescue Service attended and the matter was dealt with.


 


At 2120hrs on Wednesday, 21 December 2005 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a group of men entering people’s property on Callaghan road and trying and knocking on doors.  Police attended and escorted the foreign fishermen, who were trying to find FIPASS, away from the scene.


 


At 0016hrs on Thursday, 22 December 2005 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of damage to a property on John Street.  The matter is under investigation and if anyone has any information about tiis crime, please call them on 27222.


 


At 0100hrs on Thursday, 22 December 2005 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a disturbance on Fieldhouse Close.  Officers attended and one person was escorted away,


 


At 0928hrs on Thursday, 22 December 2005 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a request for medical assistance at an address on Watson Way.  An ambulance attended and a person was taken to hospital.
