Falklands : Royal Falkland Islands Police to Auction Unique Licence Plate
Submitted by Falkland Islands News Network (Juanita Brock) 09.09.2005 (Article Archived on 23.09.2005)

Licence plates in the Falklands have skipped a letter in the alphabet.

RFIP TO AUCTION UNIQUE LICENCE PLATE FOR CHARITY

By J. Brock (FINN)

The Royal Falkland Islands Police have announced that the new licence plates will have the suffix, “G” instead of “F” due to the fact that the “F” would not look right on the plates.

They have confirmed that the number “F1G” had not been issued and will be auctioned for charity at a date not yet disclosed.
