Bad weather in South Georgia has put three long-liners aground
BAD WEATHER PUTS FISHING EFFORT IN DANGER IN SOUTH GEORGIA

Bad weather experienced around South Georgia on 30 April led to three separate incidents involving fishing vessels licensed to long-line for Toothfish in South Georgia waters.
According to the latest information that the GSGSSI has, three vessels are involved in groundings close to shore on the South Atlantic Island. The first involved the Spanish registered vessel "Viking Bay". She went aground in Cumberland Bay but managed to free herself. The second involves the Falkland Islands registered vessel "The Lyn" and she is stuck at the entrance to Moraine Fjord but is expected to be free soon. The third and more serious incident relates to the Korean vessel, "Moresko 1". She is in Moraine Fjord wedged on a rock; she could be taking on water and as a precaution the crew, who are all reported to be safe and well, are being evacuated to King Edward Point on South Georgia.
