All : St. Helenian Emergency Relief Fund Gets £635.00 Boost

Mr John Clifford, Chairman of the St. Helenian Emergency Relief Fund (SHERF) has received a cheque totalling £635.00 from Mr Kevin Connolly, Proprietor of Deano's Bar.

ST HELENA EMERGENCY RELIEF FUND GETS 635.00 BOOST

Mr John Clifford, Chairman of the St. Helenian Emergency Relief Fund (SHERF) has received a cheque totalling £635.00 from Mr Kevin Connolly, Proprietor of Deano's Bar. A fundraising night organised by the staff was held at Deanos on Saturday 21st May, St Helena's Day. The St Helenian live band "Platonic" and DJ Boombang provided the entertainment.

 

The Manager, Mr Chris Sim commented that it was a very successful night. Saints also travelled from Mount Pleasant to join in with the celebrations. The Chairman thanked Mr Connolly for the donation and special thanks was made to Christian Williams who sold the tickets on the door.

 

The relief fund was set up with the help of John Clifford and Cllr. Stedson Francis.  It has been in operation since February 2004.
