RAF Stanley prior to closing and moving to Mount Pleasant.  Do you see yourself?

On 12 May 2005 it will be 20 years since Mount Pleasant Airport was opened.  On 05 May 1985 there was a proving flight followed by an official flight and opening on the 12th of May 1985.

Though not yet finished, the airport was operational and it wasn’t until 1987 that RAF Stanley ceased to operate from the Canache and moved to the Complex.
