A SPECIAL THANK-YOU FOR SHEFFIELD SURVIVOR

Zoran Saying thank-you to Commodore Nance
In April Zoran Zuvic, son of Mario and Sharon Zuvic Bulic of Stanley, participated in a demonstration of project work at HMS Collingwood, a Naval Training Facility in Gosport in the UK. Zoran is a student at Peter Symonds College in Winchester. Lt. Lee Blackburn helped to co-ordinate the engineering project, also helped to answer questions by visitors to the facility’s static displays. One of the people viewing the display was the HMS Collingwood’s Officer Commanding, Commodore Nance OBE.
When Mr. Zuvic noticed the Commodore’s South Atlantic Medal Zoran asked when the Falklands service took place and Commodore Nance said that he was a survivor of HMS Sheffield. “I thanked him for what he did,” said Zoran. A few photos accompany Zoran’s account of the day.
