Falklands : Bill Hunter-Christie Prize

The Bill Hunter-Christie Prize has been awarded to Kerry Anne Ross.

BILL HUNTER-CHRISTIE PRIZE

The Bill Hunter-Christie Prize has been awarded to Kerry Anne Ross.  She received the award on Saturday during the Falkland Islands Association’s AGM, when it was presented by Mrs. Merle Hunter-Christie.  The prize is awarded annually to the young Falkland Islander studying abroad, who is judged to have brought the most credit to the Islands during the year.

 

Kerry Anne is in the final year of a two-year cash diploma in Childcare and Education at Chichester College.

 

FIFO Rep. Sukey Cameron, reports that the course involves lots of coursework through 11 subject units, with an assignment to complete at the end of each.  Students also undertake a number of placements.

 

Kerry Anne is currently undertaking her family placement, which ends this month.  The prize of books was chosen by Kerry Anne.
