Arriving on the Island on Monday 4 March 2013, will be Dr Peter Hayes, Director for the Overseas Territories in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO).
FOREIGN OFFICE DIRECTOR TO VISIT ST HELENA
Arriving on the Island on Monday 4 March 2013, will be Dr Peter Hayes, Director for the Overseas Territories in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO).
This will be a familiarisation visit for Peter, and during his 3- day stay he will be meeting with a wide range of people, including Councillors, SHG officials, the private sector and members of the public. In advance of his first visit to St Helena, Peter commented:
“I am delighted to be able to visit St Helena so early in my time in this role, and very much look forward to hearing and learning more from the people of St Helena about their hopes and aspirations for the future of this unique community.”
