PUBLIC-PRIVATE SECTOR PARTNERSHIPS IN AGRICULTURE
In last week’s ExCo report, Governor Capes announced the approval of a policy to deliver public-private sector partnerships in agriculture.
This is an important step towards SHG and interested private sector businesses working together to help achieve national agricultural priorities. It will enable innovative and market driven opportunities for agricultural businesses to increase local production.
The Agriculture and Natural Resources Directorate will be happy to hear from agriculture businesses or individuals interested in discussing partnership opportunities available under this policy and contact can be made with the Director of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Darren Duncan at director@anrd.gov.sh or Michael Cahill, Agricultural Production Officer on agricultural.pofficer@anrd.gov.sh, or both officers on telephone 4724.
A copy of the policy is now available on the SHG website at www.sainthelena.gov.sh
