TEAM FROM NOBLE ENERGY AND FOGL VISITS THE FALKLANDS

By J. Brock (FINN)

A team of executives and managers from Noble Energy and Falkland Islands Oil and Gas have been visiting the Falklands on a familiarisation visit.  The team includes Charles J (Chip Rimer, Noble’s Regional Vice President International Division, Michael Radabaugh, Business Unit Manager, Troy Bevers, Senior Drilling Foreman, and Johannes A. de Jong, Falkland Islands Drilling Representative.  Tim Bushell, FOGL’s Chief Executive, David Mackay, Drilling Manager and   Ken Leach also accompanied the group.

While in the Falklands the group visited the Chamber of Commerce, the Mineral Resources Department and other Government departments and facilities, the Chamber of Commerce and Government House.

In his welcoming remarks H. E. the Governor Mr Nigel Haywood welcomed the team and mentioned Tim Bushell and David Hudd from Falklands Oil and Gas.  He went on to say that there were many interesting challenges facing the oil industry including socio-economic issues to take forward with the industry.

Mr Reimer said he wanted to thank the Governor for the reception and others responsible for giving the team such an informative and enjoyable visit.  He mentioned generosity openness, transparency friendliness and pride that he had not encountered elsewhere.  He went on to say he saw the huge match but added that communications were important and while people might now always agree on everything they would work well together for the future.  For Noble it is the future of their children and grandchildren and he looked forward to working with FOGL in the long term future.
