EXCELLENT QUALITY AND QUANTITY AT THIS YEAR’S CRAFT FAIR
By J. Brock (FINN)
This year’s Craft Fair Entries were up by one hundred and forty this year, having declined in previous years. Nonetheless, a high standard was achieved at the show, which took place on Saturday, 08 and Sunday, 09 September 2012.
“This displayed some of the amazing talent we have here in the Islands,” said Show Organiser, Natalie Smith at the prize-giving ceremony. She went on to to thank our sponsors, the judges and those who kindly helped to display the entries and clean up afterwards. Also mentioned were Louise Taylor for the announcing and to Nikki Buxton for presenting the prizes.
Everyone who came to view the show and bought raffle tickets helped to make the show a resounding success. Proceeds from admission fees and the raffle cover the children's prizes and other running costs and Mrs Smith said she appreciated all who came along and participated in the raffle..
It is not too early to start preparing your entries for next year's show which will as usual be in early September. For more information and a wonderful collection of photos from over the years (including this year) check out our Facebook page - just search for Falkland Craft Fair.
