St Helena : St Helena: FURTHER CONSTITUENCY MEETINGS
Submitted by Saint Helena Herald (Public Relations Information Office) 18.08.2012 (Article Archived on 01.09.2012)

Elected Members are keen to listen to the concerns of their constituents, and are planning a further series of Constituency Meetings around the Island during September.

FURTHER CONSTITUENCY MEETINGS

Elected Members are keen to listen to the concerns of their constituents, and are planning a further series of Constituency Meetings around the Island during September.   The public are invited to attend these meetings and raise with their Councillors any concerns they might have or just simply to find out more on what will be happening on the Island over the next few months.

Specific dates and locations will be announced soon.

The public are reminded to please complete the short Elections questionnaire issued last week.  The questionnaire asks whether constituents wish to continue to have two Electoral Areas – East & West – or wish to change to one constituency, for the Island as a whole.  It also asks whether the public wish for the Voting Age to be reduced from 18 to 16 years.  The deadline for completed forms is 31 August, and they can be returned to the Customer Service Centre, major newspaper outlets or the Castle reception.
