Fortuna Limited has launched a new website aimed at seafood marketing. The new website will expand the company’s marketing network and emphasize the improvements to product quality and logistics. It focuses on Fortuna’s ability to ship product in temperature controlled containers direct from the Islands creates for customers world-wide.
Fortuna Seafoods BV, Fortuna’s European importer and distributor, manages sales enquiries generated by the website.
The European arm of Fortuna Limited was established in January 2012 and is expanding the volume and range of products imported from the Falklands following a successful first 6 months of operation.
In addition to providing basic product specifications visitors to the site can learn about the different fisheries in the Islands through an interactive map, which provides information on fishing seasons and offloads and explains the habits of local and migratory species of Falklands’ fish.
The Sustainability section gives a detailed breakdown of the fishery’s credentials and an explanation of how while the world is focused on fishery management problems in Northern Europe, the Falklands are proud to be internationally recognized as one of the best-managed fisheries in the world.
Customers can access material for marketing promotions that explain the link between the unique environmental conditions that exist in Falklands eco system and the prime quality seafood for which the Falklands brand is famous.
