BORDERS & SOUTHERN – RADICAL DISAPPOINTMENT ISN’T WORTH CURRENT RESULTS

An Editorial by J. Brock (FINN)

In less than a month Borders & Southern Shares headed into the deep-south at an alarming rate but nothing in the South Falkland Basin has changed since exploration has started.  What has changed is our knowledge of a tiny section of it.

Move an exploration well one mile in any direction and the story changes dramatically.  People with shares in the Company need to hang on to them for the time being as indications are that technical and geological problems caused premature plugging and abandoning of the company’s latest project.

Hydrocarbons are present in the area but only exploratory drilling will find them.  It took approximately 100 drills to find even indications of hydrocarbons at various depths in the North Sea.  However, exploration companies knew the oil was somewhere beneath the North Sea and they kept drilling until they found it.  We shouldn’t get discouraged after one disappointing exploratory well.
