LOCAL Man in BUCS Outdoor Athletics Championships

Local man, Zoran Zuvic competed for the Oxford Brookes University Athletics Team for the BUCS (British Universities & College Sport) Outdoor Athletics Championships. It was a special event this year as it took place at the brand new Olympic Stadium as part of the London Prepares Series.

Mr Zuvic represented his university in two field events which are both new disciplines for him, shot put and javelin. It was an experience that will last a lifetime, competing in front of 40,000 spectators on the same track where our GB athletes will be soon competing for the London 2012 Olympics.

Other than having the opportunity to compete at such an inspiring venue in this special year for UK sport, Zoran was particularly pleased with his personal best for shot put.
