Nominations Requested for Certificate and Badge of Honour, and Acts of Bravery Awards

Nominees are currently being sought for the Certificate and Badge of Honour Awards.

These awards are available for Governors to award to their public servants for loyal and valuable service worthy of recognition or, in the case of other persons, for their loyal and meritorious conduct that has provided exceptional benefit to the people of St Helena.

The Certificate and Badge of Honour awards will be presented at the Queen’s Birthday Garden Party at Plantation on Saturday 2nd June. Up to six awards can be made at any one time.

Nominations are also needed for the Acts of Bravery Awards.

Nominations should ideally be made to recognise Acts of Bravery that have taken place since the last call for nominations in 2011.

Nomination forms for the 2012 awards are available from the Manager, Central Administration at the Castle, and should be completed and returned in a sealed envelope marked “CONFIDENTIAL” to the “Secretary, Honours Committee” at the SHG Secretariat by 27 April 2012.

For more information please contact the Manager, Central Administration, Mr Derek Henry on telephone number 2193.
