Mr Sunit Kumar has been granted British Overseas Territories Citizenship and undertook the Oath and Pledge of Allegiance in the presence of His Excellency, Governor Capes on Thursday 22nd March 2012.

Mr Sunit Kumar has been granted British Overseas Territories Citizenship and undertook the Oath and Pledge of Allegiance in the presence of His Excellency, Governor Capes on Thursday 22nd March 2012.
Sunit’s wife, Meenakshi Kumar has also become a British Overseas Territories Citizen and undertook the same Oath and Pledge in the presence of Governor Capes on Thursday 29th March 2012.
A small tea was hosted by Governor and Mrs Capes at Plantation House, for the Kumar family and their close friends to mark this occasion.
Sunit has resided on St Helena for just over five years working within the Health and Social Welfare Directorate and is best known as the Island’s Physiotherapist.
Sunit and his family are originally from India.
