£11,000.00 for Haiti Earthquake Appeal

By J. Brock (FINN)

Mr Keith Biles, sponsor of the Haiti Earthquake Appeal, Falkland Islands, reports that the balance on the Haiti Earthquake Appeal account today is £11,000, which includes the sum of £5,000 originally donated by FIG towards a temporary shelter scheme, which has now been redirected into the main local appeal account.  This total sum has been transferred today, by courtesy of Standard Chartered Bank, to the Disaster Emergency Committee Haiti Earthquake Appeal in UK.

The local Appeal account will stay open until the end of March, so if anyone is holding funds for the appeal, or who wishes to donate, could they please pay into the account at the Bank, as soon as possible.

Mr Biles said, “On behalf of the victims of the Earthquake, a very big thank-you to all who have contributed to the Appeal by direct donations and by raising funds through their own activities.”
