St Helena : Governor Clancy off to Tristan

Governor Clancy is off to Tristan da Cunha.

Appointment of Acting Governor

 

Governor Clancy departs St Helena today on an official visit to Tristan da Cunha. This will be His Excellency’s first visit to the Island. Before departing, Governor Clancy was pleased to announce that Mrs Ethel Yon MBE, Acting Chief Secretary, is to be appointed Deputy to Governor while His Excellency is away from the Island. However there will be times when Mrs Yon will also serve as Acting Governor.

 

Mrs Yon will first serve as Deputy to Governor from 21 to 24 January. She will then be Acting Governor from 25 January to 4 February. Mrs Yon will then serve as Deputy to Governor during Governor Clancy’s stay on Tristan from 5 to 11 February and following this she will be Acting Governor from 12 to 28 February. Governor Clancy will return to St Helena on 1 March.
