Falklands : Falklands Search for Missing Person
Submitted by Falkland Islands News Network (Juanita Brock) 02.12.2005 (Article Archived on 16.12.2005)

Mr. McClelland is still missing.

MISSING PERSON

At 11.45 hours on Saturday 26 November 2005 a report was received that Mr Antony Albert McClelland, an engineer from the MV Indomitable, was missing.  The vessel was moored at Mare Harbour.  Extensive enquiries were commenced and a full search operation initiated.

Mr McClelland has not been located.

Mr McClelland’s family has been informed and is being kept up to date with the investigation by telephone.

The Royal Falkland Islands Police and the Joint Services Provost and Security Unit are continuing to trace the last known movements of Mr McClelland.  We would be grateful if anyone, who has not already done so, but who had contact with Mr McClelland during the days leading up to Saturday 26 November 2005 would contact us as soon as possible.  We would especially like to hear from anyone who saw or spoke with him during the evening of Friday 25 November 2005.

The Royal Falkland Islands Police can be contacted on telephone 27222, e-mail reception@police.gov.fk. or in person at the Police Station on Ross Road, Stanley.

The Joint Services Provost and Security Unit can be contacted on telephone 6484 or in person at the Guard Room at the entrance to Mount Pleasant Airport.

The assistance and co-operation of all members of the public would be appreciated.

Len S McGill, Inspector, Acting Chief Police Officer, 29 November 2005
